A major Botswana service provider, Botswana Telecommunication Corporation (BTC) offers fixed line, wireless and broadband telephony services with high quality standards using advanced technology through the BTC country-wide network. BTC is constantly looking to provide its current and potential customer with innovative services, positioning BTC as a key player in Botswana Telecommunication market.
By working with Microsoft Consulting Services as true partners in the deployment of Hosted Messaging and Collaboration services, they enable this type of products to BTC current and potential clients and ensure offering them an improved and valuable quality of services.
While BTC is offering various services to small and medium-sized companies, its range of services does not include a business class email, e-fax, and collaboration service. Nowadays, BTC found broad market opportunities to which this type of services can be productively offered.
In order to be fully equipped for this new challenged openings, BTC entitled Capital Telecom for the implementation of the HMC 4.5 solution including :
- Microsoft Hosted Exchange 2007 (Messaging, and Mobility)
- Microsoft Windows Sharepoint Services 3.0 (Collaboration team sites)
- Operations Management (SCOM 2007)
- Update Management (WSUS)
- Securing user access with application level proxy and SSL on ISA servers
- Viruses scanning and spam filtering (Forefront)
- Fenestrae Fax services
- Control Panel for GUI based Customer administration
- Migration of existing 5,000 mail users from the existing Modus mail system
Besides this range, the package includes the following customizations:
- Branding of the control panel
- Branding and customization of Outlook Web Access
- Deployment of a Control Panel to support requested functions
The project is now in progress under the Capital Telecom dedicated team of consultants and engineers.
